Well, the biggest problem for us Chinese people's speaking English is that we don't have enough confidence. Be confident, you will easily be understood when speaking English. :)

en...YaoMing's English was very very poor before he went to USA,but only after 1 year he can communion with other people easily.

I have studied English 9 years and my CET 4 have not pass yet...[em22][em22]

Carl, China English Test System = CET, ~ is for junior university students, CET-6 is for senior university students.

I heared the place where inshore in China,people's English are more better than our place...they must pass the CET 4 in grade 1 in the univercity,isn't it?

tfzjn, perhaps you never before saw the reason for learning English and our coming here will spur you on.

The more you read and practice the more you will learn, the difference here is you can have some fun while doing it.

I think when we talk with foreigners who speak English,we needn't speak every word,many times the foreigners can guess our meaning.

but the problem is what they(like carl.h) type is some different with what we studied in the school,which has strict phrasing.

It is also different in our forum as we use slang ( local dialect names for things), it must be hard to follow.

We probably also talk different to what you would expect with different accents as is probably the case in China. Shanghai is probably different accent to Beijing and different from Hong Kong.

Language like life evolves and each new generation has different expressions, I know some of you are about 19 years old but if you spoke with an English 19 year old you would think they are not speaking English.

I try to stick to established guidelines and not use words you may not have in your diction.

Actually, as a high school student I don't have enough chances to practice my English speaking. So because of lack of practices, I really feel nervous when I was talking in English :p

那个是四川的丹巴(千碉之国),也是藏区,,,背后是碉楼,,那里的特色建筑,,,偶们美术实习到了那里(不好意思,实在不好用英语说)

Just to let you all know we do pop in to see you but it seem`s a lot of you are shy and won`t speak to us.

We`re just blood, flesh and bones the same as you and we probably make as many mistakes in English as you but we don`t speak Chinese.

If I speak English ,I think the friend #15 can't understand me beacause my poor expression..........haha [em02]

I say,the pic is taken in Danba(a place in Sichuan province,behind me is Diaolou(military watchtower).,,,,some words is hard to translate....[em03][em03]

The important thing is I can understand what you are saying and the more you practice the better.

I think you are all very good and I now have a full two words of Chinese [em02][em02][em02]

We have people in our forums that make you look like experts on comprehension and grammar. [em05]

most of the foreigner who I know before learn the first Chinese words is "你好"(HELLO)"谢谢"(THANKS),don't you?
