Read Response is proud to announce the release of a new DLV client! (1.8 for Windows, and 1.2 for Mac). This version has been a long time coming, and includes some of the big new features we have been promising - the most notable is team support!
You can now create and join DLV teams from our site at
http://distcomp.readyresponse.org . Once you are a member of a team, all of the link validation work you do counts towards your teams overall "link count" + "bad links found" count. The statistics pages at
http://stats.readyresponse.org have also been updated to show the top 20 teams, and more statistics will be coming soon.
In addition to teams, this version of the DLV client includes major efficiency updates, which will help to make the client more efficient for you and for our server. The client now caches 100 links the first time it connects to the Red Library server. It will then work through those links in the normal/expected way, until all 100 are validated at which time it will send the results back to
Red-Library. If you close the client before all 100 links are validated, your partial results will be send back to the server too!
