There is a snapshot of the new web site here. The Plan is to make the switch this friday. We will be using the latest version of the BOINC php and new versions of the server software. There will be hourly server status updates on the front page and weekly news articles. Our News section will be divided up among three topics: Server, Science, and Education. We have made some changes to the scheduler to try to limit the number of host errors. It will take several days to decide if the changes have a positive or negative effect.

Some of you noticed that we put out a new version of MFold. The good news is it had a basic screen saver. The bad news is it did not do much science. We will be pulling 4.25 this afternoon until we can debug it.
Currently about 90% of the version 4.24 work units are succeeding.

The User of the Day is now on the front page as well as under Participant Profiles. The Status graphic has been cleaned up a little and should contain more information soon. The background graphic has been changed and in the future we will make information about what it is available. You can now access results from the hosts link on your account page.

A quick note about quotas. The maximum number of workunits has been increased to 65 per day. All hosts are set for 15 units per day, but this will increase to 65 if the host returns error free results. This may be decreased in certain cases if the host is returning errors. The end result of this will be lower overall error rate.

Up to now we have kept records of all transactions in our database. This will need to change soon because of the size of the data and the access times. We will keep records of all transactions, but they will not be available online. What this means is that sometime soon you will only be able to search through results that are up to six weeks old.

Please check you messages files for errors. There are a large number of clients that have quotas set low because of errors. If your client is seeing errors please visit the forums and post the errors so we can help get you back on track.
