Important Note: If your upgrading from version 4.19 or LESS to 4.25 (actually 4.20 or higher) you MUST uninstall the old version, before you install the new version.  This is because of some dramatic changes from 4.19 to 4.2x.  If you already have a 4.2x you dont need to unistall... you can simply install OVER the old version.

重要说明：如果是从4.19或者更低的版本升级安装，则安装新版本前必须先卸载旧版本。这是因为4.19和之后的版本(4.2x)有非常大的差别。如果你已经安装了4.19之后的版本，直接覆盖安装即可，不需要先卸载。

郁闷，好处没发现，倒是发现cpu的benchmark结果变低了：

I'm pleased to announce the 4.25 release of the BOINC client for Windows.

The highlights for this release are:
1. A MSI based installer, for large scale deployments.
2. A new task based GUI which utilizes the wxWidget cross platform
framework, so we could use the same GUI code for the rest of the platforms.
3. Installation options for running in the shared and service execution
modes.
4. A more comprehensive set of GUI RPC's for management of the daemon.
5. Abilities to suspend/resume projects.
6. Abilities to suspend/resume results, even ones which haven't started
executing yet.
7. Abilities to abort results.
8. Abilities to abort transfers.
9. Abilities to add URLs to the GUI Interface on a project specific
basis.
10. Supports multiple messages returned from the scheduler.

We would like to thank the Alpha testers and the various community members
who reported bugs and helped us smooth out the rough edges.

We are still cooking the Linux, Solaris, and Mac versions which should be
showing up in the next week or so.

关于benchmark成绩变低,论坛上也有人讨论,好像官方说法4.25的测试结果更为正确
The 4.2x series has a corrected benchmark for windows (the were inflated in 4.1x).

benchmark结果虽然变低但预计的剩余时间还是一样的。
从4.19覆盖升级到4.25，屏保会导致Einstein@Home计算出错，又换回4.19了。

我装的是４.２４，是不是直接档漏以后再安装啊？

我上面不是说先卸载4.19再装吗（装在同一个目录就行），这样原来的计算进度都保留的

直接覆盖安装就可以了

刚才把笔记本上的版本也换了， benchmark结果如下（都是整数性能大概降了1000）

Whetstone: 1300+ => 1300+
Dhrystone:  3700+ => 2700+

原来两台机器分别是每小时10+和12+的credit，现在估计只有8+和9+了

都保留就好，我也试一试。

试过了还是不行，只是Einstein@Home有问题，seti 和 CPDN 都正常。

我4.25中e@h的屏保根本就启动不了...还好我不用屏保算的:)
