A number of accounts were accidentally deleted on August 26, causing users to get 'Invalid or missing account key' messages. These accounts have now been restored. We apologize for the inconvenience.8月26日有一部分帐号被误删除，导致用户得到"错误的帐号密钥"信息。这些帐号现在已经被恢复，我们对由此带来的不便抱歉。

Outage Notice: We are now in the middle of a day-long outage to reconfigure our upload/download file systems. Uploads and downloads will be unavailable at this time. This should vastly improve our general system performance.停机通告：我们将停机一天以重新配置上传/下载文件系统。这段时间的上传/下载将不可用。之后的系统性能将有很大的提高。

Yup. Turning everything on bit by bit. Since the backend processes are running so fast, we're going to drain all the validation/assimilation/deletion queues before starting up (in about 12 hours?). Plus want to make sure we have a full complement of work ready to send out.

看官方论坛上的讨论，现在判别程序的运行速度相当快了，官方现在做的是把积压的计算结果都处理掉，然后尽可能多的产生新的任务包 呵呵，果然快，刚才还有5万多WFV（Waiting for validation），大概过了二十分钟，只有5千多了，Ready to send队列也多了好几万
另外，目前的解决方案似乎并不是很好的，有一定的危险性，呵呵，官方也在希望得到一些新的硬件设备。
Oh.. there are risks. The new upload volume is on some used disk array with drives that have a higher chance of failure. But it's a RAIDed system. And this is by no means a permanent solution - we would like more spindles/space/CPU so we're hoping to obtain bigger/faster storage in the future.

SETI pioneer Carl Sagan's groundbreaking series COSMOS is returning to television on The Science Channel. The first two episodes premiere on Tuesday Sept. 27 at 9 and 10 PM (ET/PT), with subsequent episodes airing every Tuesday night at 9 PM.SETI先驱卡尔.萨根制作的电视剧集《宇宙》将在科学频道播出。前两集的播出时间为9月27日9点和10点（分别为东西部时间），接下来的将在每周二晚播出。
