[讨论]Einstein@Home之后大家准备去哪儿？

Einstein@Home的S5月底前肯定能算完，可是目前S6仍然没有消息。
不知道大家都打算暂时转到哪个项目？
LHC不能做主力项目，因为它的任务太少，经常断粮。
我想我还是算WCG的‘基因比对’好了，计算量、系统资源占用和Einstein@Home的小包差不多（但下载和上传数据有点大），好算！
大家怎么想的，讨论下吧！

Bruce also added the following points ( paraphrased from the audio ):
- currently we are working on about 40 - 50 GB of data ( about 1000 hours of instrument operation ).
- in the next six months starting to distribute a much larger data set of about 100 - 120 GB.
- when S5 is over using a complete data set of several hundred GB.
- the work will be structured so that any given host machine will not have to download more than about 20 - 30 MB of data ( as many users have telephone connections in parts of the world )

能撑到现在不容易，也许是SETI后还能存活的少数几个涉及到外太空的项目吧。

可惜噱头不够，毕竟都是做一些很渺茫的事情，SETI找外星人的噱头更足一点。

Xtremlab，我一直算它。如果它实验成功，那么以后的分布式都是10分钟的小包，那简直是分布式的福音，尤其是象CPDN这样的巨无霸。

10分钟太小了。俺觉得3-4小时最好，网络传输量也不是很大
