目前全部服务器都健康在线。本周我们将尝试启动一个高限制观察情况，目前的限制是：
每 CPU 40 个
每 GPU 320 个
根据实际的进展，我们可以在最后一天设置到目前的8倍数量。这计算出的数量希望可以达到允许4天的任务队列，而不会让带宽过载。当然会一如既往的观察情况。
本周服务器软件变化包括非常希望的 VLAR 行为（不分配 VLAR 任务到 GPU）和在同化时间内 RFI 滤波时挂钩同化器（这应该减少 ntpckr/rfi 滤波 在后端的负载）。VLAR 的改变在之前分割的任务分发完之前不会有明显变化。

Don Backer, Berkeley professor and director of the Allen Telescope Array, passed away on Sunday, July 25th. Don was a very important contributor to radio astronomy and to the study of pulsars. He will be missed.
柏克利的教授，ATA的负责人，Don Backer 于 7 月 25 日过世，Don 对射电天文学和脉冲星的研究有突出贡献。

Every Tuesday morning (Pacific time) we begin a 3 day data distribution outage to focus on science processing and development plus any needed systems maintenance. The upload/download servers will be offline during this time. The web site (including the forums) will only be offline during the database maintenance and backup portion of the outage. The air conditioning in our server closet failed this morning, causing several of our important systems to overheat. The servers have since been shut down, but until we survey the damage and address these cooling issues all parts of the project will remain offline.

The Lunatics Team 发布了 Windows 系统 的 AstroPulse5.06 ATI/AMD GPUs (r449-r456) 优化程序
包含纯 GPU 的优化程序和 CPU/GPU 混合优化程序。
注意：这是为高级用户提供的版本。如果你不知道在碰到什么问题的时候如何修复，请等到该优化程序融合到 Lunatics 安装器再使用。
一共有3个版本：[*]基于 OpenCL 的优化程序，支持 HD4xxx/5xxx 系列 ATI GPU
[*]基于 OpenCL/Brook+ 组合的优化程序，支持 HD4xxx/5xxx 系列 ATI GPU
[*]基于 Brook+ 的 CPU+GPU 混合优化程序，此版本适合旧版本的 ATI GPU，从板载的 HD2xxx 系列开始均被支持。
其中第1、2个版本都是纯 GPU 优化程序，第3个是 GPU+CPU 混合优化程序。

具体要求：（！非常重要！）[*]对于上面的 1、2 两个优化程序，必须满足以下条件，否则会导致计算错误：[*]必须是 ATI 4xxx 或 5xxx 系列的 GPU
[*]安装了 ATI Stream SDK2.2[*]CPU 支持 SSE2 指令集[*]安装支持 OpenCL 的 Catalyst 10.7 版本显卡驱动（注意不能用 10.8 或者 10.8b，请点击下面的链接下载支持 OpenCL 的 10.7 驱动）
[*]对于第3个优化程序，必须是 ATI 2xxx 系列以上的 GPU，显卡驱动必须是 Catalyst 9.x 以上。

已知的问题：[*]在类似 5970 的双芯 GPUs 上优化程序不会运行于第二个核心，另外在没有主 GPU 的系统中使用 CrossFire 功能会导致无效结果。

第3个优化程序请根据你的需要修改 <max/avg_ncpus> 和 <count> 中的值，例如你还有运行其他 ATI GPU 的项目，可以把 <count>0.5</count> 修改为 <count>0.1</count>

Air Conditioning Update (Tuesday): The air conditioning in our server closet failed on Saturday, causing several of our important systems to overheat. Most servers and services were shut down to prevent damage and remained down until the air conditioner was finally checked out Monday afternoon. We tested the system under full load this morning and it failed again, so full production is delayed at least another day. Sorry for the confusion/inconvenience.

The machine that was running the main BOINC database has become too unreliable to use. The backup server does not have the capacity to run the project on its own.
用来运行主BOINC数据库的机器已经变得非常不可靠。备份服务器又没有能力来运行项目。
The very good news is that we just ordered two new servers! One will be the new BOINC database server and the other will be the new back end science database server. Our capacity to both distribute and analyze our data will increase significantly with these new machines.
好消息是我们正好订购了两台新服务器！其中一台将是BOINC的新数据库服务器，另一台将是新的后台科学数据库服务器。我们分发和分析数据的能力将会有显著提高。
While we prepare for these new servers and get them going once they arrive, the project will be down. Although no new work will be distributed, all outstanding work will be uploaded and credited. This web site and the forums will remain up for most of the remodeling period.
