This project models the KIX domain of CBP (CREB binding protein) in complex with a variety of peptides, including CREB. CBP is a general co-activator that links many specific transcription factors to the general RNA polymerase II complex, bound to a gene promoter. Interactions between KIX and transcription factors are crucial to the function of certain leukemias. This project seeks to identify individual residues and atom groups responsible for the binding of KIX and its various ligands. These systems are fairly small, and may not use 100% of computing power.
