fah官方论坛上有个老外报告说
I'm running the latest GPU client on my radeon 4850.
I was previously running on 3870 getting 1500ppd but that has dropped to 450ppd with new Radeon 4850.
Is there a problem with 4850 and GPU2 client?

The code needs to be retuned to scale from the 320 SPs in the 38XX boards to the 800 SPs in the 4850. At the moment, at least on the smaller proteins FAH is currently running, the 4850 is a little faster clock for clock than a 38XX, but the clocks are lower so it's currently a small drop in performance. We are tuning away, but it's going to be a little while until things are tweaked to utilized the 2.5X increase in SPs in the 4850 over the 38XX boards. We went for stability first, and are now just a little way into a heaving tuning pass. 2XXX/3XXX will get faster as well, but the 4XXX has the most headroom.

推荐一个叫everest 的软件 可以检测包括GPU CPU 主板 硬盘的温度（如果可以测的话），看着温度跑

啥软件我都试了，温度恒定85不变，应该是测不出来

没事，4850的速度会回到2.5倍于3850的。

但就像工程师所说，4850的核心频率较低，直接影响到了流处理器的表现，虽然数目更多，毕竟这些显卡主要还是给人娱乐为主，科学计算为辅。

果真差了好多啊。以F@H的更新速度不知道下个版本啥时候能出。。。

提醒一下，4870和4850最主要的区别在于，4870显存频率比4850高一倍，但在Folding@home运算中，显存频率对运算速度影响很小，对于ATI显卡来说，提高核心速度才是关键，至于4870核心频率比4850高多少，楼主心里有数吧。

呵呵，我现在是娱乐为辅，计算为主，哈哈哈哈哈
如果是2.5倍的话，现在3850大约是1300PPD x 2.5 = 3250PPD...有点鸡肋的感觉，甚至还不如8800的4000多PPD
如何是好....

难道我要回到N卡的老路上，好多年没用N卡了....

这个心理有数，不过在GTX280玩不起的情况下，无所谓了， 不是在4850显存带宽够用情况下提高不到20%么，觉得还可以。 要不就组个CF 难得显卡这么便宜
