Morning China, well it`s great to hear from you all.

I was surpised when you said you had credit cards, I don`t know why. It`s probably because the images we see of China are more of rural areas where people look very poor. I think Westerners still see China as a farming community whereas we know you have a big industrialised area.

We are now getting more thing`s available to us about China such as http://www.morningsun.org/ which is about the cultural revolution. China is still a very private Country and I don`t blame it but as it deals more on the World market it is opening up. It will become a place for Westerners to holiday as many are interested in coming. I only hope China does not become too commercialised.

Well, we are expenriencing a very long and complicated reforming process, which will change the way of living of us all :)

Credit card is still a new thing for Chinese people, maybe exists for only 10 years.

Are the credit cards you have only for China or like ours for Worldwide use ?

Would you say your standard of living has got better ?

I think China is coming on leaps and bounds but is so vast there maybe farming areas modernisation takes years to get to. I hope your Government doesn`t make the mistakes the West has made and ruins the Country.

Work is hard and life is tough even here, though we have become lazy, fat and greedy ( I`m not fat )..

I see two typhoons are approaching the South East of China, due to hit Taiwan. Be careful all you folk, we care about you.

most of them (may be called VISA or MASTER international credit card) are for worldwide use.
it allow that you can afford your charge on Internet or in other countries.

however, as we have not an effective credit evaluating system, it is hard to sign up your card and overdraft is very low.

Visa or Master Cards are the normal cards I think the whole world uses. Credit cards are not a good thing in my opinion.

Do you guy`s get foreign TV ? What sort of programs do you watch ?

Chinese films have become very popular here and I have to admit to being a follower of them.

Foreign TVs are generally not allowed to be shown in China, except for in places like Hotels.

In China we watch CCTVs (China Central Television) and local television stations.

With the internet nowaday`s I expect the Government is finding it hard to control things though, I hope none of you guy`s get into trouble !

Equn you are a very neat tidy person , it follows that your mind is also like that.

From the pictures I wouldn`t be able to tell the difference to a lot of Western places which surprises me. We are given that China is very backward and they live in rural shanty towns. I have a friend Mervyn who has been to China I must loan his video footage to see for myself.

Such a vast Country yet we know so little of China but I expect it will now open up to Westerners wanting to holiday there.

China is so vast that it is bound to contain many way`s of life. I hope some of the riches that the industrialised centres makes goes into the well being of some of the poorer though.

I am an ordinary working man, I am self-employed meaning I work as a business alone repairing and upgrading computers. Not rich yet not poor, we have a welfare state in Britain which means no one goes without food or money even if unemployed. A normal person here would earn approx three hundred pounds per week but our cost of living is a lot higher than there.

A three bedroom house sell`s for approx One hundred and eighty thousand pounds.

It is difficult now for young people to buy their own home.

I live in a semi rural area just outside of Southend on Sea, Ess-ex which is on the East Coast of Britain. I am originally from London and moved out as it became overpopulated and a dangerous place to bring up children.

Thanks Equn the Chinese characters are not appearing as I`ve yet to install Chinese language. I think I can get by but it`s guess work
