Traditional Chinese medecine is becoming popular here too but is expensive. It is about thirty pounds to see a practitioner and more for the herbs etc., also acupuncture is now recognised by the Health authorities.

We have lot`s of healthy food here too but commercial way of life means that often the cheapest  ( more profitable) are the ones that are pushed onto our young more with gimmicks like toys ( McDonalds etc.,).

Hmmm DC projects.....

Find a Drug is the best one we look for cures for Cancer, Malaria, HIV, Multiple Sclerosis , respiratory disease etc., The Find a Drug name is probably a misfortune as the word drug is tied to all the bad side of things. It has in my opinion the best software, a designer who cares about the users and is there to answer questions. We also have some of the most helpful people I have ever met and of course people of all Nationalities. I would like to see China have a big team like the Russians, if anyone could overtake the rest of the world it would be China.

What Equn ( and others) have done by interpreting and making this available to China is fantastic, I could not dream of undertaking such a long drawn out process. He deserves merit for it more than any of us. It is at the end of the day the most communist project of all, we all work for no payment for the good of mankind. The only payment we receive is the satisfaction of knowing someday we may save anothers life in curing a terrible disease. In our forum the person with one small machine is as valued as the person with thirty powerful ones.

You will find quite a few will visit it but will stay quiet. I think they too are scared of the Communist party and the Americans scared of what of their Government may think about them consorting with them, but they will look none the less. Perhap`s I too should be scared or am just too dumb.. I am trying to steer clear of saying anything wrong and hope someone will put me right if I do.

People are people and no politic or society is perfect both have Yin and Yang. To see such beautiful places as China, the Great Wall and the Forbidden Palace is wonderful, my parents and their forebears never had that opportunity. Thanks to people such as you I have had that blessing.

fwjmath of course you should join what you like and each DC project has it`s own goal and benefit. I praise all people who join any DC project as worthy.

I am a FAD fan therefore am biased toward my own choosing, no offence was intended.

All things are chemical from the food we eat to our own selves. If your Mother was dying and you could save her by getting an herb from the garden would you do it ?

We all dream, we all live and die. I am a realist I know that even if I help find a cure for Cancer etc., people will still die of something else but if I can ease the pain I see of Cancer I feel I have helped.

I awake in the morning and think what can I do for others today to the best of my ability, my family first. My computer would be doing nothing, so I make it work for the good of all. Like me it cannot solve everything but it`s doing the best it can.

The good parts are taken out of the plants and herbs and put into tablet form making it easy to measure how much and it`s easier to take.

Chinese herbal medecine of roots and leaves etc., is the same as tablets /pills but taken in it`s native form.

How many times have your parents said to you " Eat your ?? Greens ? it`s good for you" when you think it tastes horrible. The chemicals (drugs) in the greens are doing you good but you may not like the taste.

Our children would like to live only on McDonalds and Coca-Cola but I must make them eat what is good for them for their own wellbeing.

chinese medicine is very good. it's pure and natural.
we chinese consider natural as a healthy way to live.

I don`t suppose I can write much news here.

Thousands are dead in the Southern states of America after Hurricane Katrina a week ago, whole area`s like New Orleans have been evacuated totally and will take billions of dollars to rebuild. Because of the American slow reaction and no forward planning there was a lot of killing, rape and robbery happening whilst people awaited rescue. Lot`s of troops have been sent there now to restore order but it is too late for many.

Millions of people are homeless and America is asking the World for food, blankets and water.

I am shocked that they knew it was coming, had time to plan and yet their efforts were worse at relief than when the Tsunami hit Asia. Even foreign aid was turned down at first.

America has many hurricanes and similar has happened before though not on this scale. They should have been prepared.


The problem is this for at least three day`s they seemed to do nothing, infact it wasn`t till the sixth the helicopters came in force to evacuate people and the convoys arrived with food and water.

The Police and army seemed more interested in protecting property than people, there was absolutey no organisation at all.

This is supposedly the richest and most modern country in the World yet the countries that had the Tsunami last year did the job better. Everybody is now asking why and there will be recriminations.

I know that China too is suffering Typhoon at the moment I hope all your people are safe.
